Well wishers and all who would want to lend a hand towards the one week observation of Enoch Fosuhene, Principal of Government Secretarial School in Koforidua at the Government Secretarial School - Friday, July 20, 2012 may contact this writer
As largely reported since Friday, July 13, 2012 Enoch Fosuhene, Principal of Government Secretarial School in Koforidua, E/R died a cruel death trying to protect his students and Ghana property. Enoch was a deeply religious person (Buddhist faith) and held deep conviction about life - all pointing to hard work and self reliance.
As the Principal of the Government Secretarial School in Koforidua in the Eastern Region, "Kwadwo Mmeh Oyooyo" kept and never broke faith with his students and staff in striving for the realization of excellence.
He preached an unremitting discourse of playing by the rules, and always led the way by example - walking the talk.
He has left a legacy of a true facility to think and work outside the box. He did this by not only fulfilling the roles and responsibilities of his school administration, but by cultivating so many acres of land around the school with his own sweat and toil, and even roping in his wife, four sons and a daughter in the physical demands of farming Tilapia, Yam, Goat, Sheep, Rabbit, Maize, and Chicken.
Above all these, he found time to publish two text books. He was simply a dedicated civil servant, husband, father, and a very giving friend to so many who crossed his path.
It was therefore no wonder that Enoch Kwadwo Fosuhene responded with his life when his students were in distress. He could have orderedâ school "labourers" or middle staff to douse a raging fire in the ladies hostel whilst he enjoyed a quiet time in his bungalow, but that was not Kwadwo's Karma. His was a spirit of altruism and humility.
Bye and rest in peace my friend and brother until we hook up again at a better place.
He's survived by wife Becky and five children. The last two children have the intricacy of university education ahead of them. Friends and well wishers may do well to support the bereaved family in any way they can. Enoch did likewise for so many.
